ELECTRICAL RATINGS: TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS (Not for UL Field Representative’s Use): These units covered by this Report are permanently connected units. They are intended for vertically or horizontally ceiling- or wall-mounted heaters. They are also exclusively intended for commercial or industrial use. Each unit is provided with a fan/motor assembly and the sheathed-type heating element which are all enclosed in metallic enclosure. These units are not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. These units are intended for indoor use only. Some units are also provided electrical accessories for field wiring connection or factory connection. The field wiring connection will be fulfilled by qualified personnel. USL – Indicates the heaters were evaluated to the Standard for Fixed and Location Dedicated Electric Heaters, UL2021. CNL – Indicates the heaters were evaluated to Canadian Standard for Electric Air Heater, C22.2 No. 46. For details of construction refer to the following photographs and their associated descriptive indices. INTERNAL WIRING: Except as otherwise described, all wiring of control circuits worked at low-voltage circuits are Recognized Component (AVLV2/8) rated minimum 600 V, 105°C, 16 AWG. All wires are routed away from moving parts and sharp edges by wire ties or clamps. Wire is routed such that it is kept away from hot parts, moving parts and sharp edges. Wire Connectors – See Sec. Gen. for the details. GROUNDING: All dead-metal parts are in electrical connection with the equipment grounding lug. This connection is maintained by the following means: 1. Metal-to-metal, unpainted or plated surfaces. 2. Sheet metal or self-tapping screws with serrated­-head or lock washer. 3. By welding. PRODUCT MARKINGS: See Sec. Gen. for details. In addition, the following items shall be provided. Markings – A. Nameplate. Placed in a location where it is visible after installation. Date Code of manufacturing is marked on the nameplate and shown as following: Month and Year; Example: 1411, where 14 is for 2014 and 11 is for November. Commercial/Industrial Heaters Only for models rated between 2 kW and 6 kW and less than 250 V, the permanent marking on a surface of the heater that is visible during and after installation, with the following or equivalent wording: "WARNING – Risk of fire. Do not use as a residential or household heater." This marking shall also appear on the heater carton. H. The permanent marking is marked on wiring diagram attached on the Bottom Enclosure with the following or equivalent wording: “Use copper wire only” I. The following marking with respect to minimum free space for installation or the equivalent wording is marked on the nameplate. Enclosure - Consists of the following components: A. Front Enclosure – Consist of following components, refer to ILL. 2 for overall dimension: a) Front Panel - Plated sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Outer Front Enclosure by welding. Refer to ILL. 3 for dimension details. b) Net – Steel mesh. Measured 0.56 mm OD, mesh opening 6 mm by 6 mm. Secured to Front Panel by physically fit and metal clips. c) Outer Front Enclosure – Plated sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Medium Enclosure by screws. Refer to ILL. 4 for dimension details. B. Medium Enclosure – Plated sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Front/Rear Enclosure by screws. Provided with opening for ventilation. Refer to ILL. 5 for dimension details. C. Rear Enclosure - Plated sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Medium Enclosure by screws. Provided with opening for conduit connection and ventilation. Refer to ILL. 6 for dimension details. D. Bottom Enclosure - Plated sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Front/Rear Enclosure by screws. Refer to ILL. 7 for dimension details. 2. Air Damper - Five provided. Plated sheet steel. Each measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Front Panel by physically fit. Refer to ILL. 8 for dimension details. Inner Supporting Plate - Painted sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Front Enclosure by welding. Provided with rubber bushing for openings passing through internal wiring. Used to support Heating Element and electrical components. Also served as one side of field wiring compartment. Refer to ILL. 9 for dimension details. 2. Heating Element Supporting Plate - Two provided. Painted sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Front Enclosure by welding. Used to support Heating Element. Refer to ILL. 10 for dimension details. 3. Reinforcing Plate - Painted sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Rear Enclosure by welding. Refer to ILL. 11 for dimension details. 4. Fan Motor Bracket - Painted sheet steel. Measured 1.8 mm thick. Secured to Rear Enclosure by welding. Used to support Fan Motor. Refer to ILL. 12 for dimension details. 5. Fan Motor – R/C (XEIT2/8), Regal Beloit America Inc (E81645), Model SP-B503HEMA2, Class B, rated 208-230 V, 60 Hz, 0.26 A. Secured to Fan Motor Bracket by screws. 6. Internal Wiring – R/C (AVLV2/8), 18 AWG, rated 105°C, VW-1. 7. Fan Blade – Galvanized steel, Min. 0.6 mm thick. Secured to the shaft of Fan Motor by screw. Refer to ILL. 13 for details. 8. Fan Delay Switch – R/C (XAPX2/8), Therm-O-Disc Inc, Sub Of Emerson Electric Co (E19279), Type 60TX-12, Rated 240 V ac, 5 FLA/30 LRA. Normal open, calibrated to close at 150°F. Secured to Fan Delay Switch Bracket by screws. 9. Fan Delay Switch Bracket - Painted sheet steel. Measured 1.6 mm thick. Secured to Rear Enclosure by screws. Refer to ILL. 14 for dimension details. 10. Terminal Block - R/C (XCFR2/8), SHENZHEN SUCCEED ELECTRONICS (E332956), Type TR-16N-01, rated 4-20 AWG, 600 V, 85 A. The pressure wire connectors are suitable for field wiring. Secured to Inner Supporting Plate by screws. 11. Equipment Grounding Terminal – Located on Inner Supporting Plate. Identified by pressure sensitive label or die-stamped indicating ground (“Ground” or “GND”) or by surface of lug colored green, or by suitable marking on diagram or by green-colored hexagonal-shape or slotted-shape head wire binding screw, No. 10-32. File E479897 Vol. 1 Sec. 1 Page 7 Issued: 0000-00-00 and Report 12. Internal Wiring of Heater Circuits – R/C (AVLV2/8), AWM 3530, 200°C, 14 AWG. 13. Automatic Reset Temperature Limiting Control - R/C (XAPX2/8), Therm-O-Disc Inc, Sub Of Emerson Electric Co (E19279), Type 10H-11, Rated 120-277 V, 125 VA (Pilot Duty), 100K Cycles. Normal close, calibrated to open at 300°F and close at 260°F. Secured to Bottom Supporting Plate by screws. Capillary tube with 873 mm length routed along inside surface of fins of heating elements, shaped as shown. Capillary tube is clamped in place by metal clips. 14. Heating Element Assembly – Three provided. Steel-sheathed heating elements, manufactured by ZhenJiang New District Haoran Electric Heating Applicance Co Ltd. Model HEIE-37BC3D1, each rated 240 V, 1666 W, measured resistance 11.6 Ω. Secured to Heating Element Supporting Plate and Inner Supporting Plate by metal clips. Refer to ILL. 15 for details. Provided with steel fins 0.3 mm thick crimped to sheath. Fins spaced nominally 7.85 mm apart excluding flanges.
